Hey everyone,
I swear trying to find basic exhibition info for small municipal spaces and contemporary labs feels like an extreme sport. You go to a gallery's site, and instead of a normal schedule page, you get a black background with auto-playing ambient noise, a PDF menu that doesn't scale on mobile, or an archive tab that hasn't been updated since 2023.
The worst part is when a massive residency exhibition is happening, but it's hosted off-site at some random pop-up space across town, and the main website doesn't even mention it. You basically have to cross-reference Instagram geo-tags just to know where a show is physically located.
Are you guys writing your own scrapers/trackers for this stuff, or just resigning yourselves to missing half the calendar because local art sites refuse to build a functional calendar table?
