Hey everyone,
I’ve been trying to map out current exhibitions and artist residencies across regional spaces and independent contemporary galleries (especially looking at smaller municipal and project spaces), and I’m losing my mind.
Why do 90% of galleries refuse to use a simple, clean calendar? Every time I try to look up what's actually running, I end up wading through heavy PDF program guides, text-heavy blog posts from three years ago, or sites that list everything except the actual dates and locations. Even worse, major shows get hosted off-site at alternative spaces without any cross-reference on their main pages.
How is everyone else keeping track of local shows? Are you just relying on physical flyers and Instagram, or is there some secret aggregator out there that actually indexes indie/contemporary spaces without missing half the roster? Would love to know how you manage your exhibition lists.
